Hannity announced on his radio show today that he's preparing to leave the highly-taxed liberal mecca of New York, and he's taking all his money with him. After all, as he pointed out, as a conservative he's no longer welcome in the state of New York according to Cuomo. So he's gonna pack up ship and head out:
"Now I want to tell you something – I was born and raised in New York," Hannity said. "I want you to know that and I can't wait to get out of here. I really can't. I don't want to pay their 10-percent state tax anymore. I live in the second-highest property taxed county in the entire country in Nassau County. I can't wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it. I can't wait to pay no state income tax down in Florida or Texas. I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning Florida because I like the water and I like to fish."

According to Gallup poll data, the percentage of American women who own a firearm nearly doubled from 2005-2011, rising from 13 percent to 23 percent. In August, the National Shooting Sports Foundation reported that 37 percent of new target shooters are female, though they comprise only 22 percent of the established target-shooting population.

The best way to win a life and death contest with your concealed carry gun is to forfeit. By this I mean don't compete. Do anything and everything in your power to avoid a conflict in the first place. You'll hear lots of web commandos talking trash about their future gun fights. "I hope such and such comes in my house!" and other such nonsense. No way. You really, really, really don't want to pull your trigger in self-defense if there is any way you can avoid it. Is following through on a macho threat worth ruining your life and draining your bank account? I don't think so. You can be right and ruined.
Cheat by always being aware of your surroundings. If you feel uncomfortable, leave. Don't go to high-risk places at high-risk times. Avoid engagement with irritable strangers. You know the drill. Swallow some pride if that helps you avoid drawing your gun. And tell any hysterical woman you're with who wants to have her say: SHUDDUP'A YO FACE! Unless the woman is carrying and trained, and experienced, she has no place in an altercation - no voice in it - no business; she does not understand what is going on and her interference will get both of you killed.

Obituaries rarely have twist endings and the obituaries of famous people are as predictable as the rain. The obituaries for Ariel Sharon, a man who died long ago, are falling now like distant rain.
The media left invokes the ghosts of Sabra and Shatila, a bout of inter-Arab violence that he had as much to do with as Jimmy Carter did with September 11, and describes him as a controversial figure. The right and the press releases from politicians claim he embodied all the qualities of Israel and was a mythical figure whose attributes were larger than life.
Sharon was certainly a larger than life figure because, like so many Israeli generals turned politicians, he built that myth. The generals of every country are also politicians. Those who cannot hack it as politicians, usually stay colonels. Israel's most famous generals invented their own reputations and made themselves into men of myth. Some were talented fighters, none were good leaders.
Israel's predicament today is the work of two mythical generals turned prime ministers who got halfway into a program and died leaving behind a mess that no one knows how to clean up.
Rabin and Sharon began ambitious ventures and then died early on. They used forceful tactics, steamrolling the opposition, bribing anyone who could be bribed and then left the project in the hands of their creepy and inept successors; Peres and Olmert.
Rabin's peace process destroyed Israel's national security and revitalized terrorism as a force in political affairs in Israel and around the world. It was the single worst decision in the short history of the modern State of Israel. To find a worse decision by an Israeli leader, it would be necessary to reach back to the Hasmonean kingdoms thousands of years ago.

Netanyahu Slams EU Settlement Critics as Hypocrites - Aron Heller
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told journalists Thursday that continued construction in existing settlements was "part of the deal" when talks began and questioned the motives of those who were outraged now. "I think this is a bogus claim," he said. "I think that this is hypocritical."
Netanyahu questioned why the EU protested the construction of "a few houses," but did not summon Palestinian diplomats over Palestinian misdeeds. "When did the EU call in the Palestinian ambassadors to complain about the incitement that calls for Israel's destruction?"
"I think it is time to inject some balance and fairness into this discussion. Because I think this imbalance and this bias against Israel doesn't advance peace," he added. "I think it pushed peace further away because it tells the Palestinians, 'Basically you can do anything you want, say anything you want, and you won't be held accountable.'"

A "Jew-free" Palestinian state, now being contemplated in peace talks, would be tantamount to ethnic cleansing, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Canada's CTV. Meet Europe's New Fascists
Now they're in parliament, where their party, Jobbik, is stoking hatred of Jews and Roma (gypsies).
The Hungarian author György Konrád is arguably one of the best-known child survivors of the Holocaust. By a stroke of luck he narrowly avoided being deported to Auschwitz in 1944 along with the Jews of his hometown, Berettyóújfalu, in eastern Hungary. He, his sister, and two cousins survived the war in a Swiss-protected Budapest safe house. His parents, who had been deported to Austria, also survived and were reunited with their children in Berettyóújfalu after the war—the only Jewish family from the town to survive intact.
Yet in mid-December, Konrád, now 81, pointedly declined an invitation to take part in an advisory session for a new $22 million state-sponsored Holocaust memorial museum and education center focusing on child victims that is slated to open next spring. "It would be hard to shake the feeling that the hasty organization of this exhibition is not about the hundreds of thousands of children murdered 70 years ago, but rather about the Hungarian government of today," Konrád wrote in an open letter to the museum's director. "If the government wanted to devote such a large sum to the memory of these children, then in the spirit of the children's spiritual heritage I would suggest they turn this amount over to feeding the badly nourished, living Hungarian children of today."
Konrád's words reflected the powerful mix of political, emotional, and ideological passions that the plans for the new complex have ignited in this sharply polarized country since they were announced in September by the nationalist Fidesz party government, headed by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The new institution is to center mainly on the experience of children during the Holocaust—but also on Hungarians who rescued Jews. It will be located in the disused Józsefváros train station in Budapest's rundown Eighth District, once a teeming Jewish neighborhood, and will be called "House of Fates," a name that harks back to Nobel Prize-winning author Imre Kertész's novel Fatelessness, which narrates the experiences of a teenaged boy during the Shoah.

Construction work began Dec. 17, and the facility, which is to combine a permanent exhibit with an interactive learning center and other services, is supposed to open in April 2014. It will be the centerpiece of a nationwide effort to mark the 70th anniversary of the Holocaust in Hungary. Nearly 450,000 Hungarian Jews were deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau in the spring of 1944. Later, after the Hungarian fascist Arrow Cross seized power in October 1944, thousands of Budapest Jews were shot dead into the Danube River, and tens of thousands more were deported to other camps or sent on forced marches toward Austria.
The memorial year events, which include hundreds of commemorations, synagogue restorations, and other projects around the country are the latest in several steps taken by Orbán's government aimed, at least in part, to counter what it says is an unfair image of Hungary as a racist, anti-Semitic country. In early October, for example, Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics told an international conference on anti-Semitism and Jewish life held at Hungary's parliament building that Hungarians had to recognize their country's own culpability in the Shoah. "We know that we were responsible for the Holocaust in Hungary," he said. "We know that Hungarian state interests were responsible."
