Saudi Arabia bans protests, Turkey locks up journalists, Iran and Libya kill their opponents.

Meanwhile, 55 college campuses around the world prepare for… Israel Apartheid Week.

Haneen Zoabi, a 41-year old Arab woman is an elected member of the Israeli Knesset

and has led anti-Israel protests.

Israeli apartheid?

Her actions would never be tolerated in any of the surrounding countries,

but Zoabi’s anti-government pieces are routinely published in main stream Jerusalem newspapers.

While Saudi Arabian women are forbidden to drive a car,

in Jerusalem, many Arab women take driving lessons

and sit on Egged buses in traffic jams on Agrippas Street like everyone else.

School girls are not afraid to share the same streets,

no matter what uniforms they wear,  and go on to attend Israeli universities

and find work in the medical professions
in Israeli hospitals.

Arab women walk alone

through the streets of the Old City

and in all the neighborhoods

around

Jerusalem,

dressed in clothing

of all types

and colors.

Often Arab women shop

in Mamilla Mall,

in the Machane Yehuda Market, the shuk,

on Jaffa Street,

King George Street,

and in Talpiot.

They can eat in a street cafe or restaurant

or walk with a male companion.

With young children

or alone,

Arab women are not afraid or forbidden to move around freely.

So is this Israeli apartheid?

This morning the Muslim Brotherhood warned the United States that if the United States meddling in the Middle East continued they intend to cut off America's supply of 7-11 and Motel 6 managers.

If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell, AT&T and AOL customer service reps.

Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more presidents either.

U.S. Republicans may have to choose between two women – Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann – for their presidential candidate in 2012.


Minnesota Congresswoman Bachmann, the GOP House of Representatives leader of the Tea Party movement, repeated her charges Sunday that U.S. President Barack Obama is running a "gangster government." She did not withdraw her comments that his polices are "anti-American."


Rep. Bachmann previously has expressed deep respect for the Torah and said last year, "I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States . . . that as a nation, we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel, and if we reject Israel, then there is a curse that comes into play."
She volunteered on a kibbutz after high school. She is not Jewish and has stated, "I am a Christian, but I consider my heritage Jewish, because it is the foundation, the roots of my faith as a Christian."


Directing her attention towards President Obama, she said, "I don't take back my statement [that Obama is running a] gangster government… I think that there have been actions that have been taken by this government that I think are corrupt, thoroughly corrupt."
Asked by Gregory if she regrets once having called the president "anti-American," she answered, "I said I had very serious concerns about the president's views. And I think the president's actions in the last two years speak for themselves."

Rep Bachmann, like former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is becoming a "love her or hate" political personality, who has been alternately called an extremist and the answer to the financial problems in the United States.


Terry Branstad, governor of Iowa, where she was born, said he would support both women for president. "If Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann participate, this could break all records and could get to be really, really wide open and very interesting," he said last week.

The Supreme Being Fallacy of Atheists

All atheists I have ever discussed or argued with are illogical. . On a forum at http://www.wikihow.com/Discussion:Persuade-an-Atheist-to-Become-Christian one of them stated emphatically that the ONLY proof of God was if he and the believer that he was speaking to went to the hospital and found someone cut in half and ask God to appear and heal the individual. If the believer would not, then God does not exist.

In my estimation that is a very infantile remark.

Here is my answer to his ludicrous example.

YOU have set the terms to prove God exists. What makes YOU think your terms make sense?
- I could say back .... the only proof that YOU exist is IF YOU appear in front of me right now .... 

YOU DIDN'T. Therefore YOU DO NOT EXIST.

- It is rather like saying "I have never seen Rome, so show me Rome right now or you believe in a mythical place.
Just because you cannot see a person OR a place does not mean they do not exist.

YOU probably think ATHEISM exists, do you not?

Atheism cannot exist.... not if the most reasonable definition of atheism is .... that an atheist is a person who declares that God DOES NOT exist but is mythical. That came from most definitions in Wikis and dictionaries online.

Atheism assumes that no superior being exists because he/she/it has never seen one.

So if that is true then let me ask this question.

Have you ever found anyone more knowledgeable than yourself?

-Hopefully you have. If you have not then you have already found your superior or supreme being .... YOU! You have admitted that no one is superior to you ... so you made yourself God.

- If you admit [hopefully] that some people are superior to you then THOSE people have become your superior or supreme beings. They are people who make the most sense to you. People who you tend to believe when you hear or read what they say.

Either way, there are beings which are superior ,,, either you or they.

Congratulations you have just admitted that YOU or THEY are superior beings worthy of being listened to. You have appointed yourself or "THEM" your God.
What per cent of the world's knowledge do you have?

Is it less than 5%?

Is it less than 1%

Most would admit that their knowledge is much less than one per cent of the world's knowledge.

Is it possible that God exists in the 99% of the world's knowledge that you do not have?

The logical honest answer is "YES".

Therefore just because you do not see or know God does NOT make him a myth any more than YOU are a myth because I don't see you.

However I could find you if I had your address and exact geolocation, could I not?

You can also find God if you know where to look.

Have you ever lost your car keys?

Would you be able to find your keys if you looked in the right place? The place where they are? [Of course.]

You can also find God if you look in the right place.

However if you just come to argue why bother? You don't have enough of the world's knowledge to declare God non-existent. There is no point arguing over knowledge that you are ignorant of is there?

Israel Apartheid Week or Islamic State Apartheid?

I was shocked a few years ago when I saw at York University they were having an Israel Apartheid Week. I could not believe what I was seeing since Israel is so far from apartheid as to almost be the exact opposite!

Now the JDL [Jewish Defense League] proposes a protest of the protest week called Anti-Islamic State Apartheid.

So is Israel or the Islamic states more apartheid-like?

What Was Apartheid in South Africa?

It can be defined as racial separation and discrimination, institutionalised by law in every aspect of everyday life, imposed by the white minority and derived from belief in white racial superiority.

So my question is where is there racial separation and discrimination in Israel? I was there in 2006 and heard the calls to prayer every morning and evening from mosques. I saw arab, Christian and Jewish stores and merchants.

So where is this hidden discrimination? Is it covered up in some non-tourist areas of Israel?

Israel

• allows all faiths to build their houses of worship and worship freely
• allows arabs [usually muslims] to run stores and live in the state of Israel
• they are allowed to be hired as civil servants
• all have equality under law
• Jewish and Arab babies are born in the same delivery room, with the same facilities, attended by the same doctors and nurses, with the mothers recovering in adjoining beds in a ward.
• In hospitals, Jews and Arabs alike are represented: One man's story. "The surgeon was Jewish, the anaesthetist was Arab, the doctors and nurses who looked after me were Jews and Arabs."
• Jews and Arabs share meals in restaurants and travel on the same trains, buses and taxis, and visit each other’s homes.
• Arabs have the vote
• Palestinians are not oppressed on racial grounds like the blacks of South Africa [They may have to have more security clearances for obvious reasons if one recalls the suicide bombings and has knowledge of Palestinian rockets being fired into Israel daily for years with short breaks
• The wall is often cited as being an example of apartheid. No. It is to protect ALL who live in the state of Israel from suicide bombers and it has worked.

Many more examples could be cited. However the ones mentioned give testimony to the fact that Israel is not based on keeping Arabs apart from Jews as the blacks in South Africa were from the whites.

That should be enough to show LACK of anything even close to the meaning of "apartheid".

Islamic States

Islam, by fiat, discriminates against women. Koran 4:11 says:

“Allah directs you in regard of your Children’s (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females…. These are settled portions ordained by Allah.”

Tabari IX:113: "Allahpermits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Koran.”

Tabari I:280 “Allah said, ‘It is My obligation to make Eve bleed once every month as she made this tree bleed. I must also make Eve stupid, although I created her intelligent.’ Because Allah afflicted Eve, all of the women of this world menstruate and are stupid.”

In this case Allah is half right. Women do menstruate. But He is also wrong. Extensive studies by impartial psychologists provide unequivocal documentation of the fact that women are equal in intelligence to men.

• If a Muslim woman is murdered, her beneficiary is entitled to one-half dyyeh – blood money, or compensation – as that of a murdered Muslim male.
• A woman’s testimony in the court of law is worth one-half that of a man.
• A woman must provide four witnesses to substantiate her claim of being raped.
• A man can divorce his wife by simply saying to her, “I divorce you,” three times.
• A divorced woman is entitled to a miserly compensation and automatically forfeits her rights to her children.
• Women are barred from the lucrative and powerful cast of clergy.
• Husbands are entitled to punish their wives corporally.
• Men are allowed to have four wives at any one time and as many concubines as they desire and can afford.
• Saudi Arabia, the custodian of “true Islam” imposes a raft of restrictions on women such as: women are not allowed to drive; they are not permitted to leave the country without accompaniment or explicit permission of their male kin; they are barred from most government jobs and much, much more.
• Among other Muslims, such as the Taliban and the Pashtun of Afghanistan-Pakistan region, women are barred from education and not even allowed to leave the house unless accompanied by a male kin.
• Since education, particularly professional education, is often denied to women in many Islamic societies, there is scarcity of women physicians and male doctors are often forbidden to treat women patients.

Such is the plight of women under Islam. There is hardly the need to provide an exhaustive list of Islamic misogyny to qualify it as a shameful, discriminatory and oppressive religious apartheid.

Will Muslim women ever break out of their bondage and claim their rightful place among emancipated non-Muslim women? It is the long sub-humanized Muslim women who must discard Islam and claim their equal human rights. Muslim men will resort to every means to maintain their privileged position and their cruel dominance over women, citing the Koran as justification. Any document that consigns one half of the human race to second class status is null and void.

Sounds to me like Islamic states treat women as second-class citizens like the whites treated the blacks in South Africa. Very apartheid-like.

• Even the most “mainstream” and “peaceful” Islam is guilty of systemic apartheid. Just a couple of examples should suffice for now.
• On December 16, 2006, Egypt’s Highest Administrative Court decreed that in order to receive an Identity Card, only Islam, Judaism, or Christianity must be entered on the application. No one of any other religion or no religion at all is permitted to list his belief or even leave it blank. Without the identity card, just about all the rights of citizenship are denied to minorities such as Baha’is, Hindus, and Buddhists. People are forced to choose between falsely claiming an approved religion and depriving themselves of just about all rights of citizenship such as jobs, education and medical care.
• In the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic law denies dyyeh to any and all people who are not Muslims or members of the only other three recognized religions. Every one of the 500,000 members of the Baha’i Faith can be murdered without the family receiving justice or compensation. As a matter of fact, the Islamic government itself has executed Baha’is for the sole “crime” of being Baha’is and has demanded that the innocently murdered person’s family reimburse it for the bullets they used to execute him.
• The Islamic Republic of Iran’s President’s repeated threat to wipe out Israel from the map is ignored by some as an empty rhetoric of an unhinged fanatic. Yet, Ahmadinejad’s threats are far from the baseless saber-rattling of a zealot. Ahamadinejad’s government has recently ordered the comprehensive gathering of data regarding the Baha’is and all their activities. This order is deeply troubling, since it is almost a replica of what another fascist, Hitler, did before launching the genocide of six million Jews and some four million other “undesirables”. Ahamadinejad is an Islamofascist whose aim is to have a practice run on the Iranian Baha’is before embarking on destroying the Jews and other “undesirables,” following in the footsteps of the German fuehrer.

Islamic societies shamelessly practice all the sanctioned injustices listed in the U.N. charter on apartheid (see paragraphs 2 and 3, above). Islam is religious apartheid. And apartheid, by universal agreement, is an inhumane, unjust and condemned practice.

• Islam cruelly practices its oppressive dogma on minorities in its lands; it is in clear violation of the provisions of Universal Human Rights. Ominously, Islam is encroaching in the traditionally non-Islamic parts of the world and doing all it can to impose its horrid doctrine on others.
• It is for this present and imminent danger that the free people of the world must rise and do all they can to preserve their birthright of liberty. Muslims in the non-Islamic lands may seem harmless, and many of them indeed are harmless. Yet, Islam compels its leaders to uphold and promote its tenets at any and all costs to anyone. It is for this reason that on the one hand the Islamic governments sign the U.N. Charter that condemns apartheid, and on the other hand, these governments violate every provision of it when they are in power.

Islamofascism, the enemy of liberty, is at the gate. It is the duty of every free human to defend freedom by defeating the enemy.

So these are just a few of the comparisons of Israel and Islamic states to apartheid.

If you did not know before what apartheid actually was, hopefully you do now. But if you continue to call Israel and not the Islamic states purveyors of apartheid then you are hiding your eyes and ears from truth.

So when are we going to see

ANTI - ISLAMIC STATE APARTHEID WEEKS?

These are some of the signs that could register a TRUTHFUL protest unlike the IAW farce.

Stifling Freedom of Speech Starts with One Voice Muffled

People who want Rupert Murdoch, or Fox News, or even CNN or MSNBC [yuk] or even the Toronto Star are wrong. What scares me is the people who claim freedom for what they want to do but want to stifle the voices they don't want to hear! That is totalitarianism at its worst.

European totalitarianism (such as Nazism, Communism, and Fascism) began as a result of the Great Depression. [Editor: Do we really want to start a Hitler-Stalin-Mao-KimJung Il style government in Canada?]

The Depression had many country's citizens desperate for a solution to their economic problems, and followed the extreme socialist leaders who promised restoration. These leaders became dictators who took advantage of their power and their people's support to create totalitarian governments.

Are we being primed for that scenario now?

Nazi ideology stressed the failures of laissez-faire capitalism, communism, economic liberalism, and democracy; supported the "racial purity of the German people" and that of other Northwestern Europeans; and claimed itself as the protector of Germany from Jewish influence and corruption.

Hitlerism - the great atheistic corruption of freedom started by individuals trying to shut those up that they didn't want to hear. Hopefully we are more sensible than that today. Or are we?


There are those in Canada who want to stifle "Fox News North" and those in the U.S. who want talk radio stifled because it is largely conservative and those liberals might just get their feelings hurt now and again.

Lurking totalitarianism attempts a coup?

Do I enjoy hearing an agnostic religionist rant on about the beliefs he has chosen? No. Do I defend his right to say them! A RESOUNDING, Yes! 


Do I enjoy listening to "news media" which actually having done no research, proclaims the next political prophet only to be disappointed when they discovered he was a snake-oil salesman instead? No! Do I defend his right to be heard!


YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! 


We cannot stifle the comments we don't like to hear and retain freedom.

So I believe we have a clear choice. Do we silence those we disagree with? After so many in two world wars died for the freedoms of democracy, will we let them go so lightly?
